The Questions I Couldn’t Ignore
I read some more before I could walk away from the religion I was raised in and follow Jesus.
My belief in Jesus came from asking hard questions and using the brain God gave me.
I believe everyone—Muslim, Christian, or unbeliever—should be willing to ask those same hard questions.
Being born into a religion doesn’t automatically make that religion true.
And being born Christian doesn’t mean you actually follow Jesus.
At some point, you have to stop believing something only because you were taught to believe it.
You have to ask:
Is it true?
And eventually all of my questions came down to one person: Jesus Christ. Who was He really—a prophet, a teacher, or exactly who He said He was?
